All you need to do is inform your provider and staff that you intend to keep your placenta. Take a disposable cooler with you when you birth. After birth we'll arrange for me to either pick up the placenta or I'll come to your home to prepare your placenta for you. I am certified in Bloodborne pathogens precautions which complies with OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030, and I have also complete the Florida Safe Food Handler course. So, you can rest assured that I will adhere to the strictest standards when cleaning my utensils, preparing your placenta and cleaning up after myself. I took my training through Midwife Jenny West author of "The Natural Healing Power of the Placenta" and also "The Complete Idiot's Guide To Childbirth". I promise to treat you, your placenta and your home with respect and care.
